Hobart Historical Society Christmas Open House and Local Author Book Signing – Saturday, Dec.14

The Hobart Historical Society is hosting their annual Christmas Open House providing the community with a special opportunity to browse the exhibits and find unique local items in the gift shop. Local author Pastor Charles Strietelmeier will also be present to meet visitors and sign copies of his books available for purchase.

This free event is taking place Saturday, December 14, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.at the Hobart Historical Museum, 706 E. 4th Street, Hobart, IN 46342.

In addition to writing, Strietelmeier is a part-time pastor with the Calumet Episcopal Ministry Partnership and serves at St. Stephens Episcopal Church on State Street in Hobart, Indiana.

Pastor Strietelmeier will be featuring two of his recently published books available for purchase titled “Singing Flames and Gargoyles” at $14 and “Fair is the Night that Leads Us Home” at $12 Also available for purchase are a collection of songs, melody only, and available with musical notation.

Established in 1965, the Hobart Historical Society, Inc. is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization welcoming everyone with an interest in the history of our community, from the professional historian to the curious family. Admission to our museum is free of charge, donations are appreciated, and available to visitors every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to Noon.
