Antique clock and watch informational session at Hobart Historical Society – Saturday,Nov. 9

The Hobart Historical Society is collaborating with Northwest Indiana’s Chapter of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors (NAWCC) to host an informational session, encouraging members of the community to bring watches and clocks to the event to learn more about the timepieces, receive tune-ups, and advice on potential repairs that may be necessary.


This free informational event is taking place Saturday, November 9, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.at the Hobart Historical Museum, 706 E. 4th Street, Hobart, IN 46342.


The NAWCC was established in 1943 and has nearly 10,000 members worldwide today. The NAWCC is committed to being the world leader, educator, and advocate for horology which is the study of timekeeping and the making of timepieces.


The local Chapter 83 of the NAWCC is known as “Peace Pipe” and is based in Schererville, Indiana with meetings taking place the second Monday of every month at the St John Township Community Center, 1515 US-30, Schererville, IN 46375.


Established in 1965, the Hobart Historical Society, Inc. is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization welcoming everyone with an interest in the history of our community, from the professional historian to the curious family. Admission to our museum is free of charge, donations are appreciated, and available to visitors every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to Noon.
